QA Engineer

Our partner is a leading software provider specializing in industrial aftersales and digital documentation, delivering cost-effective and value-adding cloud solutions to over 1,000 global customers. Headquartered in Nuremberg, with additional sites in Inning, Amberg, Karlsruhe (plusmeta), and Pristina, Kosovo, the company boasts a dedicated and passionate workforce of 270 employees across the Group.

We are looking for the best candidates for the position QA Engineer, with starting date 15 September 2024.

Main responsibilities & tasks

  • Test planning and execution: You will be responsible for the creation and execution of test plans, test cases and test scripts for complex web applications.
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with product owners, developers and designers in a cross-functional team to holistically understand product requirements.
  • End-to-end test scenarios: You will actively work on the design, development and execution of end-to-end test scenarios for automated testing of our applications.
  • Test automation: You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to ensure repeatable and efficient testing. You will use test automation frameworks to automate recurring test cases and improve test efficiency.
  • Error analysis: You will identify, document, and prioritize bugs and issues found during testing, and work with development team to resolve them.
  • Regression testing: You will conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not have unintended side effects.
  • Analyzing test results: You will produce detailed feedback to stakeholders on the quality and reliability of our applications.
  • Process improvement: You are committed to continuously evaluating and improving our test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Innovation and continuous improvement: You will drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team, staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications & skills required

  • 3+ years of Experience in software testing: Proven experience as a Test Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer in professional software development, ideally in the B2B sector.
  • Automation tools: Experience with test automation tools and techniques (e.g. Ranorex, Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Testing principles: Deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and best practices.
  • Frameworks and tools: Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Quality and security awareness: High level of quality and security awareness.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
  • Last but not least: Fluency in English both written and spoken; experience in working with multilingual and multicultural teams is a definite plus.
