For our partner, a contractor company of US Army and NATO, we are recruiting for them an experienced and dedicated and a skilled Relational Database and Back-End Developer (Senior Level with PostgreSQL) to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Design and Optimization:
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient relational database schemas.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
- Ensure data integrity and security through proper access controls and encryption.
2. Back-End Development:
- Develop and maintain server-side logic to facilitate the integration of the database with front-end components.
- Implement APIs and web services to enable efficient data exchange between the front-end and database.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of userfacing elements with server-side logic.
3. Data Migration and Transformation:
- Manage data migration tasks, ensuring smooth transitions between different database versions or structures.
- Implement data transformation processes to meet the evolving needs of the application and business requirements.
4. Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor database and system performance, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks or issues.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related problems, working closely with other team members to ensure the overall reliability of the system.
5. Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and system architects, to deliver high quality solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architecture, back-end logic, and development processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Developer and Back-End Developer.
- Proficiency in relational database management systems, PostgreSQL, SQL, and database design principles.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks and RESTful API design.
- Experience with data migration and transformation processes.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
