Unix Systems Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Following new developments, innovations related with banking sector and technology, and evaluating benefits of them and sharing with upper title.
• Making research about companies to get service and their solutions.
• Following existing developments and also international developments
• Reporting status of projects and task in weekly or monthly bases.
• Providing meeting minutes of official meetings.
• Following unit service request and incident tickets, based on SLA and KPI’s set.
• Preparing technical evaluation of IT Infrastructure part of projects.
• Leading, planning and follow up projects and task
• Setting priorities based on business impact and procedures set
• Follow up and plan remediation plan for security vulnerabilities sent by Information Security and group security.
• Meeting with staff under his/her title in a period, evaluating and performing proposals
• İnforming and leading staff under his/her title about new developments and changes.
• Following and eliminating and preventing repetition of problems defined in audit reports.
• Providing quality and service standards in projects/duties.
• Applying data security policies and rules while realizing any functions in his/her responsibility.
• Server operating systems (Linux, AIX) support and maintenance.
• Application systems capacity managements
• Application systems performance and availability
• UNIX/Linux shell scripting
• Modern source control, build and continuous integration solutions
• Container build and orchestration
• Centralized patch management tool knowledge (Satellite)
• Implement and maintaining the storage systems.
• Middleware knowledge and support (Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat,)
• Managing, monitoring storage systems. Searching for capacity planning and following maintenance activities of the storage systems.
• Managing application servers, monitoring performances and user connections through application servers and balancing of the connections.
• Willing to learn and adapt to fast-changing environment
• Good communication and analytical skills

Qualifications required:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree on related universities
• Analytical thinking and effective evaluation on results
• Fast decision making ability
• Coordination and direction ability
• Foreseeing and evaluating risks
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure
• Having knowledge about MS Office
• Familiarity with data replication/streaming technologies
• Skills in database design, documentation, security and coding
• Skills in database architecture and internals
• Experience or knowledge with big data technologies
• Experience or knowledge with Unix/Linux systems administration
• Required advance knowledge on Office 365 ,RHEL Linux, IT Service management
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming
• Flexible in working hours if required
• 3 years’ working experience in Information Technologies (IT), preferably in banking sector or any enterprise company.
